about
Music journalist. Content creator. Concert photographer.
Hi! I'm Karina Rae Selvig,
A music journalist and content creator who is highly passionate about giving you my opinion on music: I write for New Noise Magazine, Dying Scene, Rockfreaks.net, The Scene, and many more. I cover everything from underground gems to festival headliners, and I always focus on honesty and detail.
My work lives in a space where journalism meets culture and creativity. I'm all about giving my time to bands and artists that are shaping the future of music, and I believe excellent writing should do more than describe a sound. It should capture everything from energy, feeling, and the moment. And whether it's a longform feature, casual interview, a sharp review, or hell, a backstage polaroid, I aim to create content that I believe in, stand by, and am rooted in genuine love for the craft.
This site is my digital home; part portfolio, part behind the scenes. Here you'll find my published work, some personal album reviews, curated playlists, and concert photos, along with BTS looks at the work I do and the artists that I will die on a hill for. Everything you'll see here is a reflection of my mind, with a little smirk and edge.
And beyond journalism, I'm exploring creative direction and brand collaborations, always with an eye for originality and a love for music, style, and culture that feels real.
If you're here to explore, collaborate, or just vibe - welcome. I'm glad you're here. Let's create something!
